FINANÇAS COMPORTAMENTAIS: UMA INVESTIGAÇÃO SOBRE A INFLUÊNCIA DO VIÉS ILUSÃO DE CONTROLE

Resumo

No campo das finanças comportamentais o viés Ilusão de Controle corresponde à percepção irreal de controle em eventos incertos. Partindo desse cenário, este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar como se apresenta o viés Ilusão de Controle entre os alunos do Instituto Federal de Educação da Paraíba-IFPB, Campus Guarabira. Para tanto, foi empreendida uma pesquisa exploratória descritiva com aplicação de um instrumento de pesquisa de caráter quantitativo. Foram abordados 312 alunos de quatro cursos presenciais, três cursos técnicos de nível médio e um de graduação. Aos alunos foram apresentadas duas situações distintas onde eles deveriam fazer escolhas de investimento. Em um primeiro momento uma terceira pessoa lançava um dado e determinava os números vencedores, no segundo momento os alunos podiam escolher os números vencedores e lançar o dado eles mesmos. As duas situações foram comparadas sob a perspectiva do viés Ilusão de Controle. A análise dos dados foi realizada por meio de teste binomial de proporção e teste não paramétrico de amostras pareadas de Mann-Whitney (Wilcoxon). Os resultados indicaram a presença do viés Ilusão de Controle, embora não muito forte, com maior incidência em estudantes do gênero feminino, com idade acima de 19 anos, renda familiar baixa, matriculados no curso de graduação.
